The City Essay by Jin

The City Essay
Dallas is the first city of gigantic scale in the United States that I have stayed for some time. Thus my short experience in Dallas gives me the foremost impression of American style’s city life. Situated in the north Texas, Dallas becomes the wide north Texas area’s shining headquarter which meets a big amount of people’s needs, so do I, an fresh international student living in Lubbock with initial curiosity. From my perspective, I would like to share some of my partial but private feelings towards Dallas, rather than only talk about any information which could be depicted directly from a tourism handbook.

Dallas is the city fully immersed in greenery. I could still remember the shock when I landed on Dallas for the first time. When the short flight which I took from Lubbock to Dallas was near the destination, I started to look through the scenery which were getting much clearer. Surprisingly, I founded that the land was covered by rampant greenery with the colorful rooves of houses sprinkled orderly. I even held my breath at one moment, and finally I felt the pleasant vividness presented by the green scenery which was combined with limpid lakes surrounded the airport in harmony. What’s more, I could always find many similar spots with greenery whenever I hanged out in Dallas. The experience was memorable for a man with the boredom of West Texas’s widespread baldness in terms of greenery. Google map definitely would not deceive us.

Dallas is also a city that makes me peaceful like many gigantic cities of Southern America in common. With full appreciation, I could always felt the inherent slow rhythm of life from the presences people’s eyes spread even when I travelled in the downtown, or when I was on the railway connecting different areas of the city on busy weekdays. Probably the international airport was the place in Dallas that reminded me of the existence of crowdedness. However, the leisured city also showed ultimate competence in the United States with its fully developed industries and lenient policies towards starting up a company. No matter who you are, an employee of employer, you will find the possibility of success. That is an inspiring fact.

In conclusion, Dallas is not the only gigantic city in the United States I have ever come to, but is the most memorable one for me for some reasons. I would consider go for here later as well.
