Pushing The Community

            In the last century, students have been considered to be the most vibrant and enthusiastic participants for focusing on various social issues, which had large and multifarious impacts on the aspects of social life, environment, economy, and so on. In fact, the raising voice of students brought major changes in various regions of this world. For instance, the language movement (1952) of East Pakistan, can be a paragon of student community’s social awareness. In recent days, it has been observed that the student community is moving far away from the social awareness. It has numerous detrimental effects for the future; as they will lead the future world. That’s why, it is very important to persuade this community of their responsibility to the society.  

            Developing empathy may propel the student community to feel for the deprived people. Growing empathy is very important as, it increases the rationale among the students to distinguish between right and wrong. For this purpose, the students should be brought near to this underprivileged people to stand in their shoes. It will let them feel what is the actual cause behind their distraught condition and, then it will be easier for the student community to help that underprivileged community by taking proper actions. 

Students, especially those who are going for undergraduate studies, are the cream talent of a society. Not only are they open to rational thinking; but also, it is easier for them to get known to the larger community. Besides, it is easier for them to get access to the actual information for the blessing of the information technology. Additionally, they have the energy and stamina to stand up against the odds. As example: the student community in Bangladesh, are currently very much active to stop the construction of a power plant near to the famous Mangrove forest (The Sundarbans). They are trying to motivate the general people of Bangladesh to get aware of the dangerous impacts of the plant wastage on environment. To protest, not only they are rallying on the roads, but also they are taking the support of social media to spread the voice.  

            For pushing the community, the rational people should stand together selflessly, and need to discuss the current problems and the remedy of it. Then, these thoughts should be propagated to the community by means of getting together, utilizing social sites, and discussing them with the students. Furthermore, they can take help from media to circulate the ideas around the world.

            If we want a better world to live in, the student community needs to be awakened, and raise their voice against the odds. For that, empathy must be grown among the students by letting them know the original picture of deprivation. Hence, the blessing of the communication technology, can be a great tool to spread the word of peace and remedy of the problems. That’s how we can ensure the well-being of mankind.
